Mustangs Charging to the Finish Line
The W.O.A.A. Yearend tournament began today in Markdale/Flesherton arena's.
Upper Maitland played strong all day and have now earned themselves a place in the finals tomorrow morning in Markdale.
The Stangs opened up the day with a 1-0 win over Saugeen Shores on a goal by Madeleine Charlebois with assists going to Mallory Hussey and Larissa Hill. This line played a strong game all day as they created havic in the oppositions zone throughout the game. Shores goalie was outstanding in this game as she also stopped Nelson, Goetz, Berfelz and Hussey with outstanding saves to give her team a chance to tie it up to the very end.
In game two Upper Maitland played Walkerton L.L. and in an intense game that had the lead changing back and forth all game. The Stangs prevailed 6-4 in order to advance to the Builders Final tomorrow morning at 10:15.
