Overtime In Hanover
It was a great back and forth battle between both teams and could have been any mans game.
It was going to be a tough loss for someone tonight. Tonights game was a true test for the goaltenders. After the first period it was tied 0-0. The second period saw the Falcons come to life scoring the first goal and then we exchanged the scoring back and forth and after two periods it was tied 2-2. It was an exciting third period which saw some awesome saves by both goalies keeping it tied 2-2 which took us into overtime. The teams got some encouragement from the coaches and then the ref dropped the puck. Overtime was a rollercoaster of emotions with a lot of back and forth opportunities to break this tie. Then at 6minutes into overtime the Falcons slipped the puck past Jaden G and it was over. There were cheers from both ends of the rink as it was a great game for both teams. Walking to the dressing room I couldn't help but feel proud of our team. It was an intense game, which lead into overtime... it was great to see that everyone played their hearts out- and that's all we could ask for. Way to go kids. See ya at practice Wednesday night as we get ready to Roll into Durham Saturday. Go Hornets Go!!!!!!
